We've all been there, whether you're a struggling student or in a high flying job. You get paid, you underestimate your spending, and then it happens. You've packed the shopping cart full of groceries and wait in line at the till, and as you glance over your shoulder the queue behind you is 15 people strong. Their frustrated looks are evident to see, as they avoid eye contact and fidget and mutter.
The cashier finishes scanning your items, you've packed the £100 worth of goods for the weekend, and then she scans your card….and then nothing. You ask her to try it again as you give the card a quick wipe, the perspiration begins to form on your brow, you hear a faint sigh from a few feet away and anxiously hand the card back for a second try…DECLINED!
Well that was all very embarrassing…
