YouTube Finally Penalises Logan Paul Over Controversial Video

After releasing an open letter on Twitter, YouTube has finally taken the necessary action that many people have asked of them. Logan Paul's video has caused so much controversy and it is only the first month in 2018 and it took YouTube 10 days to make a statement and then take the necessary action. Despite Logan Paul posting an apology letter and later a video on Twitter, it may seem that was not good enough.

And this was YouTube's open letter which was posted on 09th January, 2018

Many criticised this open letter including popular YouTubers such as Philip DeFranco and Jack Septic Eye. So it's been confirmed by YouTube, they have removed Logan Paul from Google's 'Preferred Program' which allows brands access to the top tier of content creators and place their ads next to their videos. YouTube have also put on hold all of Logan Paul's YouTube Red projects.

In all honesty, I for one am glad that action has been taken, though it took YouTube 10 days to respond unlike the PewDiePie situation where everything came crashing down within a couple of days.
